Tim Raue
Restaurant Tim Raue, Berlin is one of the city’s defining fine-dining addresses. Opened in 2010 by Tim Raue and Marie-Anne Wild, the restaurant near Checkpoint Charlie continues to hold two MICHELIN stars in 2026. Raue has developed a culinary language that is immediately recognizable: Japanese product precision, Thai aromatics and elements of Chinese culinary philosophy, driven by an intense interplay of sweetness, acidity, heat and umami.
The Koi Menu is perhaps the clearest distillation of that style. Conceived as a collection of the restaurant’s most defining Asian-inspired dishes from recent years, the 2026 edition moves from coconut with green curry and lettuce and hake with dashi and braised cucumber to white asparagus with koji and buckwheat, followed by a deeply flavored Chinoise broth with brown crab and prawn. Then comes the wonderfully irreverent KFC, Kreuzberg Fried Chicken, before venison with Sichuan and cranberry and a finale of yuzu cheesecake with caramel and Melange Noir pepper.
