Victor Tiberius is honorary professor at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at University of Potsdam and visiting researcher at the Institute of Economic Education at Ludwigsburg University of Education. He had been lecturer for corporate strategy at ESCP Europe for three years.

Research

Victor Tiberius‘ research focuses on entrepreneurship, innovation, and strategy.

So far, he has published nearly 80 articles in reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Business Research, Journal of Business Venturing Insights, Journal of Innovation & Knowledge, Journal of Service Research, Journal of Small Business Management,  Review of Managerial Science, Technological Forecasting & Social Science, and Technology in Society. Additionally, he wrote three and (co-)edited eleven books. He also (co-)authored more than 20 book chapters and multiple non-reviewed journal and magazine articles.  → Publications

He serves as member of several editorial boards, such as Futures & Foresight Science, Journal of Family Business Management, Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development, Journal of Small Business Strategy, and Review of Managerial Science. He has also reviewed for many other journals.

He is listed in the World’s Top 2% Scientists ranking by Stanford University for 2022 (top 1%) and 2023 (top 0.5%) and in the AD Scientific Index 2024 among the Top 20 strategy scholars in Germany.

Teaching

His teaching currently focuses on strategic mnagement. He held a variety of management lectures and seminars on both Bachelor’s and Master’s level, with small groups and more than 600 students, both in German and English.

He is supervisor of Bachelor’s- and Master’s theses – so far, he wrote more than 400 reviews.

Education

After his highschool graduation and studies in business administration and business education, Victor Tiberius received a doctoral degree in economics (Dr. rer. pol., equivalent to a Ph.D.) from Technische Universität Carolo-Wilhelmina zu Braunschweig and a doctoral degree in education studies (Dr. phil., equivalent to a Ph.D.) from Freie Universität Berlin. He also holds an MBA in  entrepreneurship and innovation management.

Tiberius regularly participates in different forms of further education, such as executive education programs at Columbia Business School, London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE),  INSEAD, Saïd Business School (University of Oxford) and Sloan School of Management (Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)).
